Just wanted to post this about Fantastic Fan. I too started to have the problem recently with the vent cover sticking and not opening up, I remembered others having the same problem, so I searched the archives and noted many advising to call Fantastic Fan as they were very helpful and customer oriented. I just got off the phone with Rodney, explained the problem, he is shipping out new motors, arms, gaskets, and lubricant all at NO CHARGE!! This is truly great customer service and an excellent company that stands behind the product they produce.

I had a similar experience with Fantastic Fan. Their customer support is legendary.

SEGI windows and a few others could certainly learn a lesson or two from them.

The difference between SeGi and Fantastic is the fans are a quality product produced by ethical people. I also have gotten several parts from Fantastic, some were parts I didn't Even know I needed until I talked to them. SeGi would not even give me a discount on replacement windows that were defective but outside the three year 'unspoken extended warranty' period.

Fantastic Fan people are ...well...they are fantastic! Had a sticky automatic lid on our Fantastic Fan compartment. Called Fantastic Fan and they decided what parts were needed and the phone tech said I am pulling them to ship to you as we speak! And, they arrived two days later. Sure is nice to have such a great company in the RV business, wonder if they might be interested in making more components for RV's?
Roadmaster towbar folks are right up there in the same category when it comes to knowing the value of their reputation with their customers.

Yup, Fantastic Fan is "best of show". I know from experience.
I also know that Roadmaster is a great company to work with.
I would like to add a company to the above... Thin-Lite.
I don't have Thin-Lites on my coach, but Country Coach told me that the overhead ceiling fluorescent fixtures were made by Thin-Lite, wrong again.
Anyway, I sent my SOB sealed fixture to Thin-Lite, and they repaired the fixture and sent it back (with a note, not our brand) and did not even charge for shipping.
I thought that was kind of neat.
Lots of other good companies out there:
Echo Charger, Cat, Kiwi Step sp?, USGear, Moen and others.
For me the worst companies I have dealt with were:
Carefree of Colorado

Jim, wrt to Carefree. I just had my front door awning (Carefree product) go bad. Took the coach in to a Carefree authorized repair facility, they diagnosed the problem as a broken motor, overnighted the new motor (overnight at my expense, they would have paid for ground shipment). The repair facility replaced the motor and all is well. All I paid for was the extra expense of the overnight shipment - Carefree picked up everything else including parts and labor. My experience with Carefree was great!
