About 3 months ago we developed a Hairline crack in the middle of our Counter Top, we suspected it happened when the wife laid frozen steaks on there to defrost. We are not sure how the other hairline crack between the sink and the couch happened. Now, the wife will not let me put anything cold (even a Beer can) or hot on the counter. We use a heat shield (pad, etc.) under the fry pan.

Herb, I was told by a tech that when they put too much adhesive on when placing it on the cabinet it would not allow it to flex and there for would crack. He told me to space out the adhesive so many inches, I forget how much, but you might ask CC if you get to that point. CC uses a product called integra solid surface bonder for bonding the corian. It's an epoxy I believe.

I should clarify that the Integra adhesive is used to bond the corian and not to fasten it to the cabinet. They use a different adhesive for that.

If anyone is interested, I have a countertop from a '98 Allure available to anyone who wants it. I decided to do a little remodling to create more countertop space. I replaced the double sink with a single and replaced the 3-burner with a 2-burner. The kitchen is much more functional now.
I made up an ad for the Countertop: http://sandiego.craigslist.org/rvs/475645877.html (http://sandiego.craigslist.org/rvs/475645877.html)
