Im sure some of you have run into this but I havent read anything on it. When my generator shuts off while on the road and switches to the inverter, there is enough of a delay that my satellite loses signal and takes 30 seconds to reacquire. I thought I could avoid this by installing a battery back up like used on computer systems but the battery backup would not operate off the inverter. After speaking with both heart (xantrex) and APC who makes the batter backup, it is apparent that very few if any battery backups will work on the inverters as most of they are modified sine wave inverters. xantrex suggested installing a new pro sine inverter.. fairly hefty price tag... that would give a pure sine wave and work with battery backups.
Just wondered if any of you have run into this and how you handled it.
