Spent the morning surveying what it would take to upgrade to a 32" or 37" LCD TV. This all started when we decided we did not like the passenger clearance to the old TV when entering the rig. I have reviewed a number of posts where this was done.
The problems with this upgrade, as I see them, are largely cosmetic. A 32" LCD would provide better clearance on entry but the modification to the cabinetry would pose challenges with filling a hole (5"x20") in the ceiling (styrofoam insulation and covering were cut out for a CB cable from the roof), and covering the screw holes in the leather following removal of the "box" that housed the old TV. I think the structural aspects and other finish work are within my skill sets. Any ideas regarding these specific challenges? By the way.....these forums are the best thing ever. We have been RV'ing 23 years but I am new to the motor-home scene and the shared experiences have been extremely helpful.
Thank you for any advice offered.
