We have an 07 Allure with the above tank monitor. This is supposed to show in percentage, which is does about 50% of the time. One day it will work just fine and show for example 54% black, 36 gray, etc. these are just examples; then the monitor will only register on the following day, one number, say 5 for black (using the above example) and 3 for the gray. We have had this looked at by Buddy Gregg's in Knoxville & they suggested a cleaner to use to clean the sensors.
Long story short, even w/the cleaner, the numbers will be erratic.
Has anyone had this problem w/their Allures or others that use the computerized Sea Level Tank Monitor which is located in our Allure on the wall above the toilet flush buttons.
It's really annoying. Right now we have our grandaughter with us, so we are using much more water, washing clothes more, etc., and the monitor seems to be working better, so it definately has to with the sensors.
We are scheduled to have this looked at again before warranty ends, but were wondering if anyone has an "absolute fix" for this.

If it is the same as ours then the sensors don't get cleaned as they are attached to the outside of the tank and do not penetrate the tank. It is my understanding that unlike the sensors that penetrate the tanks, these measure the relative pressure (fluid weigth).
Ours were always reading incorrectly when under 1/2 full and it turned out to be the sensor wiring which was fixed under warranty when we were @ CC a little over a year ago. If I recall correctly, one set of sensors was not in the correct position.

i searched on the internet and downloaded quite a bit of info from the mfg site; we were able to do some troubleshooting of our own from the manual and troubleshooting faq page off the internet.
we just emptied our gray and black - the gray was at 83%, i wrote down the percentages as it was being emptied by my husband. it counted down every few seconds and when it got to 50% instead of showing say 50%, down from 63%, it registered 5 and stayed there for about 10-15 seconds, then started to count down again until zero.
we will have them check cause ours has been around the 1/2 or 50% mark also.

I installed one of these systems on an SOB coach a few years ago. I was very pleased with it. I was originally very skeptical that the system could read through the tank, but it worked great. It does not read pressure. It works by sensing "conductance" which I never really understood.
It uses a 3M adhesive circuit board strip that you mount vertically on the tanks. As I recall, I had to calibrate the unit to the tank. Look into that issue and that might fix it.

Thanks George - It helps to have more info from people that have the system & present it back to Buddy Greggs. They do take all this info into consideration. Glad yours is working flawlessly - we hope ours will too once they take another look.

The Sea Level monitors are pretty trouble free. Albeit the manual does indicate that it will display a code if it detects your tank may be contaminated (buildup). I have talked with Sea Level prior to the install on my coach. They were very helpful and I thnk Id call and talk to them. The erractic nature in more than one tank lends to a monitor problem not a sensor problem. Only other thing might be a faulty ground to the unit. That is the only part of the cuircuit that is common to all sensors.
