I'm assuming that you're referring to the power inverter and the Xantrex controller as the remote?

If so then it could be one of several things. I woudl start with unplugging and replugging the cable where it enters the remote and at the inverter itself.

Next would be to find where the remote cable connects to -- CC shoudl be able to tell you for your coach. In ours it was under the bathroom cabinet.

You can also try to reset the remote and also try to get a short replacement cable and connect to the remote @ the inverter.
BTW -- we tried all of the aforementioned and ended up replacing the remote as it was what had failed.

It might help generate ideas if coach model, year and number was provided along with the inverter and remote you have.

Don, on my coach threre is a separate fuse for the toad lights connector. Mine is located in a fuse box on the aft wall of the compartment which holds the fuel filters. Yours is probably somewhere else, but the CC techs should be able to tell you where to look. If you have any bare wires on your hookup, you will get a short that will blow the fuse.

Good luck,

I'm not sure I understand your problem. We have a 2000 Magna with the Xantrex inverter. In our case, there is an "on/off" switch on the inverter, it needs to be in the "off" position for the house internal remote inverter control switch to work.

Maybe that helps?

Hello,

on our 2000 42' affinity with tag, we had one of our inverter panels that would not respond. I could go in the electrical bay and turn the inverter on manually, but the remote would not control it.
Turns out, the remote had latched up. On the back of the remote is a phone type of plug that goes to the inverter. The other wires go to a large molex connector. ours is red plastic.

Seperate that connector for a few minutes, then plug it back in.
This resets the remote panel and no more problem for us.

Hope this helps.
