List found this on craigs list... Point your mouse to http://sacramento.craigslist.org/rvs/795213453.html (http://sacramento.craigslist.org/rvs/795213453.html)
Though sad to see one of our own like this... Might be a screaming deal for someone looking for a new drive train.

Does anyone have the phone number from this ad? It's expired now and I'll be passing through Sacramento and wanted to take a look.

Thx,

Ron,

According to Ebay where it was listed a week or two ago, the auction ended early as it is no longer for sale. You can check it out on Ebay under Country Coach and check completed listings.

I drove to Rancho Cordova today to check out this coach so I thought I'd give the group an update in case anyone else is interested. The coach is still available and the guy will sell the whole coach or just parts. It's a very unfortunate accident. The coach is completely trashed above the floor line - nothing salvageable. It got so hot that it actually melted the aluminum roof support beams. I was interested in the slide hardware but it was all burnt up.

Below the floor line was a different story. The front suspension actually looks mostly intact. They have already sold the generator but the engine compartment and the engine/transmission is in perfect condition as are the rear wheels. Also, it still has a perfect condition (cosmetically) Hurricane system as well as a 2000 watt Xantrex inverter.

I was very tempted to buy the Hurricane system but it would be a very time consuming job to install it in my coach and I understand from several people that it is a bit of a maintenance problem anyhow.
However, for someone who already has one, he only wants $200 for it and it would be a great source of parts. Everything in the Hurricane basement bay is intact and in perfect condition.
The inverter looks ok cosmetically but he wants $1000 for it with no guarantee and I see them all the time on eBay for $800-$1500 checked out and guaranteed working so not a good deal in my book.

The engine is an ISL 425 and associated transmission. The engine compartment is untouched. I'd love to have that in my coach if only for the superior engine brake but my ISC 350 with Banks is giving me 430HP and 1200 ft/pounds of torque and runs perfectly with only 26k miles so not worth dealing with for me. However, if you have a coach with blown or worn out ISC engine this would be a drop in replacement and might be worth it.

Some of the basement doors look ok and would be useful if you have a dent in one of yours but someone already got to all the latch handles.
The only thing I bought off of it was the cargo basement slide tray.
Quite a bargain at $100 and it was in perfect condition.

There isn't anything else worthwhile that I haven't already mention but if anyone is interested in that stuff the phone number is 916-631-1700.

Regards,

Ron Curry
