Brian, these are caused from diesel soot coming in thru the motor compartment.

First, have that resealed and then talk to a reputable cleaner, or dealer, as just any

cleaner will not do...it is road film basically....this has been talked about at rally

"Carol" shows quite a bit...they resealed our coach at two different rallies as part of

our maintenance request...

Hi Mary, Could you elaborate on where they sealed?

Brian, we were J680, almost at the end of the row going west. It was a long walk to the pavilion. GG

Hi David & Karen----I had the same problem with my 2000 Intrigue. They sealed between the rear cap and the body of the coach with the spray foam which hardens and then paint4d it black, but I still had some of the same problem when I traded the coach. I note my 2003 Allure now has a vinyl ceiling which is probably there because the soot won't permeate it.

Looks like I should add this to my list for CC when we take the coach to JC in October and maybe prevent the problem getting out of hand. We have 15000 miles on our coach with no discoloration readily apparent at this time but would rather have the prevention added now then wait.

Walt,

The vinyl ceiling is an option. I had the fabric in my previous coach. The only problem I had with soiling was in the bedroom around the ceiling fan.
But, I definitely did not want the fabric again.
