Hi all

We are back with more questions: Our hurricane heater makes a lot of noise is this normal. When the cycle starts you hear a gurgling, then the motor goes on and that's pretty quiet, but then when it's ready to shut down it makes a high pitched squeal. Is this normal operation? I love the diesel power and it runs pretty quiet when It's not heating, but boy that squeal at night is annoying. Any body else have this problem? I tried letting air out of the fuel line, but it didnt' make any difference. I know it's heating because we feel the heat.

Also how do you turn off the 2, 2Kw electric heaters? Do any of you know the name of the satellite installer in Eugene? They told me who they were, but I don't remember the name.

Thanks for any help or ideas.

The only noise our hurricane heater makes is a low rumble, maybe one of your fans is making the noise. I do know you need to start the heater on a regular basis to get rid of old fuel. We even start ours in the summer on a routine basis, about once every 2 or 3 months. Call the hurricane people, they have a good help line.

Can't help with the hurricane heater but -----the satellite fellow is Cal Thorne with Advanced Satellite. Nice fellow. His assistant's name is Dan I believe. Will locate the phone number and pass it on to you. Good Luck.
