I have driven in clockwise and also counter clockwise circles while trying to calibrate the electronic compass. Still not happy with the results.
How well does your CC Electronic Compass work?
My other complaint is that when the ignition is off, the temp display can not be set to STAY on.

p.s. Believe the instructions say something like "drive in a circle for one minute". I first interpretted that to mean "complete one cirle in one minute". Manufacturer clarified that to be "drive in circles (i.e., two or three or four) in one minute. Neither approach has worked well. Well = if I am driving northbound and make four right turns around the block, it would read W, S, E and again N.

Hi
My compass functioned poorly like yours, then I had CC reposition to antenna and it works great. Simply "recalibrating" by driving in circles doesn't solve the problem.
Hope this helps.

Herb, I followed those instructions with mine ( I drove counter-clockwise ) and mine works very well. A dealer had told me they had calibrated mine, but it didn't hold--they said it was just a cheap compass. When I decided to adjust it myself I found it was still set for Oregon. When I set the zone properly and drove the circle, it has worked well ever since.
