I have a chance to buy a really nice 2001 Allure 40'(clean one- owner). It's got just about all the desireable options(colors too).
Can someone tell me the weight numbers. It's got the galley slide and the bedroom slide. GVWR and approximate CCC would be good to know.
Also, is this one of the models that has a possible overload on one of the front tires? Thanks in advance.--Willie wgnunez(at)earthlink.net

Great model year and floorplan! In 2001 you will have the larger chassis CC started to use in late 2000. It has a larger rail so the "monster" 12R / 22.5 Toyos will clear. Neway IFS up front (2nd year), and you have a really nice slide mechanism where the entire exterior of the room is wrapped in fiberglass. There is no slide mechanism visible on a 2001 Allure, its all "above" the floor and out of the chassis. Your exterior bay doors are the same size on both sides and fully open even with the slide out extended. Its a great slide system and one CC currently uses on everything (its made by HWH). The floorplan is called a "Crown Point" and typically offered adequate CCC of around 3,000. lbs. The GVWR is 33,200. Its a nice model year to purchase. The graphics are painted on and the entire coach is clear coated (except the roof).
The tire blow out/recall was on earlier models with the smaller 275 / 70R / 22.5 tires. This would be on 1999's and early 2000's. Some of the 1998's and older are also affected by the recall but those coachs had larger 10R / 22.5 tires.
If you get me the 5 digit CC serial number I can pull a production order. It will start with a "3" and be found on an exterior decal by the entry door or behind the medicine cabinet door.

Don't tell me I finally got to you!:-) I don't have any info on the weight other than gross, but I do have a 2001 Allure brochure, if that is of any help. I note the brochure shows a 330HP ISC, although I'm sure they started putting 350HP engines in them at some point, since they now only use ISLs. Thje Crown Point looks like a nice floor plan.

I kinda figured you'd say something. Actually, Country Coach got to me a long time before you did. But as always, it's a pocket book matter. I'm trying to see if removing the forward nightstand might allow me to fit a custom bed that's about 8 to 10 inches wider. If the brochure has a view of the floorplan, perhaps it might idicate if a wider bed might work. As you and Damon already know, the large bedroom slide with the king bed is a significant attraction in the other unit which I've been planning on ordering. It's just that the overall quality of this 2001 Allure, and its features, and the price, is something I have to think about. We'll see.--Willie

The brochure states the bedroom slide is 6' -1" wide, so you would probably nee to remove both nightstands to get a King bed in there. The bedroom slide is 4'-7" high, and 2' deep. The galley slide is 11'-5.5" wide, 5'-3" high, and 1'-5" deep. I see it comes withh dual AC/heat controls in the cockpit, and heatpump roof ACs, 2000W inverter, and 2 8D batteries for the house. I see an LP generator is standard--I assume the one you are considering has a diesel? Let me know if you have any more questions! Warm regards...........Per

You will find the information of the weight numbers you are looking for (and just about all Country Coaches) behind the cabinet door in the bathroom, GVWR, CCC, etc. If this coach has the Toyo 12R tires, (which I believe it does) overload on the front tires should not be a problem as well.
