Graig, our Hurricane is situated in the same compartment as the Chassis batteries, with the batteries on top. This compartment is always open so there is no air vent to worry about. It does, however, get dirty and I assume that the air is not as clean as it should be for the efficient operation of the Hurricane. Should I still remove the air cleaner as you stated in your 6 Nov. 2002 e-mail?
For the info of the group, our unit still has a water heater, electric and gas.
Thanks for your help.

Bob, yes the air cleaner should be removed. There is another air cleaner inside the Hurricane that protects the compressor so there will be no adverse effcts.
