We just went through the flame out, restart, flameout routine. Our unit would "kinda" run with the bleed valve cracked open. If you shut the valve, the unit would quit. In part of the troubleshooting, the heater was fed by an external can of diesel fuel with the bleeder valve shut. The unit ran like a top.
The fix was a new fuel line from the main tank to the heater and the unit has been trouble free since.
During the Hurricane fuel line replacement, the fuel line to the generator was found to be full of cracks and began to leak when it was bent at a 90 degree so that was replaced also.

Sounds crazy, but have you checked the exhaust pipe for a dirt dobber nest? A dealer ran up a huge labor bill on mine ( which I negotiated down significantly ) before someone decided to disconnect the exhaust. When the dirt dobber nest fell out the unit ran perfectly and has ever since.

Do you recall if the fuel lines for both the Hurricane Heater as well as the Generator were easly accessible for replacement? Was the cost to run the new fuel lines pricy?

Hi, I have a 03 Allure 1st Ave so what I offer here maybe different on your coach. After spending $500 with Hurricane on parts I diagnosed the problem as BAD GATES RUBBER HOSES.
It was impossible to disconnect the "supply hose" and "return hose" on the top of my fuel tank as there was no room to get your hands and tools in there. It is to close to the floor of the coach. So I had to have the coach put on a "lift" and drop the fuel tank down about a foot. This isn't easy unless you have a ForkLift and proper Pallets to use on the ForkLift Forks.
I replaced both the supply hose and return hoses with AeroQuip products. They are used in the Marine industry and run about $3.00+ per foot but they'll be there when I'm down under.
I didn't replace the Generator Hoses as they were A-OK. Reason is, Country Coach used a different model number of Hose on the Generator vs the Hurricane. I wrote to Gates Rubber giving them all the details on their hoses that failed. They essentially wrote back telling me that that particular Model of Hose wasn't one of their best ideas....oh well.
Bottom Line this project was at a cost of $900.00, so with the Hurrican parts call it $1,400

I hear you loud and clear, $565.00 to replace the hydro-hot hoses and another $600.00 on replacing the generator hoses. TWI 2004 INTRIGUE Built in the summer of 03.
