Trying to get my mind off of the Hurricane, I came up with another question. On the Jake Brake switch, one direction is for 3 cylinders and the other direction is for all 6 cylinders.
Could someone tell me which direction gives which braking power? Thanks

Tom, I thought it was the valves for 2 and 4 Cylinders, but irregardless I get best braking power when the rocker switch is down in the forward position.

Tom,

Try the switch out on the next steep downhill. You will be able to easily tell which position gives you the most braking power. It will be the one using all 6 cylinders. On ours we have a 3-position Jake, for two, four and six cylinder braking. Not sure if the ISL uses 2,3 or 4 cylinders on the low setting.

Thanks Walt and Per

I tried what you suggested, and the forward postion seems to give significantly more braking power.
Thanks for the help
