Linda, we did that bridge once, this past March, made it OK but knew we'd never do it again, even before your report. Sorry to learn of your outcome. I'm not surprised. A fair warning to all!

US 60 though, west from I-55 to Springfield, is a beautiful drive mostly though the Mark Twain Natl Forest. Within the year it will all be 4 lanes of rolling hills.
