Dry PTO -- Please help

Yahoo Message Number: 50800
My mechanic just called and indicted my PTO is dry. What do I tell him to do? Can he oil or do I need to buy a new one, and if so where do I go?

Stan, suggest you AND your mechanic do a search on this list Ref: "PTO". There's mountain of information on the subject.

Also see the web site for John Davis RV http://www.jdrv1.com/
I had a "wet kit" installed because I didn't want to deal with a possible failure on the road or having it greased every 5000 miles.

Stan,

Mike decided to do exactly what was suggested below, and our peace of mind is wonderful! Hope to see you in Oct. when we're out there for a trade show.
