Various Thoughts

Hello All

Happy New Year to you all. Ours will be very happy because we will continue to enjoy our 08 Intrigue.
Some of you may recall that we had listed our coach for sale on the various web sites devoted to such things (including this one.) While the listings were up I spent a great deal of time researching new gas coaches to replace the Intrigue (the whole idea was to not have as much money tied up in a coach as we had purchased a summer home in MT and would not be spending as much time on the road.) The more I learned about gas coaches the less exciting that idea became. Bottom line, we have decided to keep our Intrigue, which we love, and enjoy it for the time that we do spend on the road - YEAH!
We have registered for the CCI rally in Kerrville and hope to finally meet many of you in person.
For those of you with the varying fan speeds on your Aqua Hot heat exchangers, please see my previous post regarding the reason for same.
Echo Chargers - again. My Echo Charger was mis wired at the factory and I was able to trace the problem and correct the wiring. HOWEVER, in addition to the two slow blow 20 amp fuses that are part of the Echo Charger package, CC installed another inline fuse at the oil pressure combiner solenoid (where my Echo Charger is wired to the chassis battery.) The Echo Charger literature says that the max charge current to the chassis battery is 15 amps, 12 volt DC. The fuse that CC installed was 7.5 amps - wonder why the chassis batteries were still low even after my rewire? Yes, the fuse was blown. I installed a 20 amp fuse (the wiring is plenty large enough for this amount of current) to match the Echo Charger fuses and all seems to be fine.
For those of you who continue to have Echo Charger problems you should check to see if you have this supplemental fuse as well as checking for proper factory wiring.
While researching gas coaches I came across several interesting web sites including this one from a Newmar dealer http://www.leesrv.com/blog/ which has some very interesting info about coach pricing and future manufacturing. It appears that our values may be starting to firm up.

Kindest Regards,

Brad Burgess

Brad, we appreciate you joining CCI it is a great club that start in 1983 that is trying to keep up the Bob Lee tradition of quality for the CC owners. We own a place at Buckhorn in Kerrville so we will see you there or if you get there early would love to meet you.
