Night shade string broke.

Hi Folks

Our kitchen table night shade string just broke and I was wondering if anyone who has repaired these before can provide any advice? Thanks.

The company that makes those shades is Specialty Window Coverings Inc. They have moved from Elkhart, IN. to Goshen, IN. They are very helpful and will send you new string and directions for repair. www.specialtywindowcoverings.com

Where are you located ? I know of a company that repaired all of mine and had them cleaned as well, located in Coos Bay OR.

We did ours a couple of years ago, and found it to be fairly easy. Look in the "Files" section of this forum and you will find drawings for the 2 & 4 string blinds. Our blinds did not match these exactly because C.C. went to a cheaper Mfg. however we strung ours per the drawings and they work much better than before.

Window Specialtys sent me a kit including the string and instructions, restringing is not too hard to do, I found the hardest part is reinstalling the blinds.
