injector cleaner additives???

I have almost 100K miles on my C10 and it is running fine, but am wondering if adding an "injector cleaner" additive to my fuel as a preventative measure would be advisable??

Your question will probably overload this forum. Everyone it seems has or has not used any form of injector additive.
OK..here is my input. I have used Marvel Mystery Oil for 30 + years in everything I've owned with an engine. Using it in a diesel engine/generator makes even more sense as an additional benefit is the lube of the injector/fuel/lift pump.
Years ago when me friend had a trucking fleet with his own underground fuel storage he purchased Marvel in 50 gal drums, which were dumped into underground tank after receiving fuel.
I have used Marvel in my Affinity sense day one, have never had injector issue. Used it in the last boat that had a pair of 6V92's and a 20 KW Gen.
As another bit of news I think most of use are familiar with 'Sta-Bil" fuel stabilizer for gas engine storage. They recently have introduced a diesel formula. Available in qt's. to treat 320 gals. Perfect for use with the amount of parked time on a coach.

Hi Al,

What ratio blend do you use? In my airplane, I run 4 oz, per 10 gal. of AV Gas. This is a good tip for all diesel owners.

I add a quart per tank. Very reasonable priced at Wal-Mart . My Affinity tank age is 160 gallons. Using the find fuel at "1/4 tank rule" this works out per the Marvel suggested amounts.
Fueling always done at truck stops, never fuel when you see fuel tanker dumping into storage tanks.
