Domestic refrigerator problem

Yahoo Message Number: 64726
I'm in Branson Mo. and just noticed the domestic refrigerator and freezer isn't cooling/freezing anymore. I have power to the unit (the lights are on). Any ideas/suggestions to what the problem can be (i.e. freon, condenser, etc.), or is this something I will need to take to have repaired at an RV shop? Thanks all!

First thing to check is the fuse on circuit board at the back of refer.
You will find the 2 fuses under a black plastic that all the wires go into.
As always disconnect the plug ins before working on the board.
Hope this helps.

If it's a Dometic vs "domestic" (residential?), the lights work off of DC power only. So, the AC part could be defective and you would still have lights from battery power. The the AC outlet for power.

Steve,

Best documentation I have found is available from Brant RV web site.
http://bryantrv.com/docs.html There is good troubleshooting info in the docs. It will give you an idea whether you want to tackle the problem or not. As I recall there are some easy tests to point to what the problem might be.
I have had diagnosed and fixed Dometic problem on a different RV following their assistance.

Good luck,
Terry
