trace inverter problem

Hello

I am having a problem with the Trace #2012 inverter on my 2002 allure. The unit was stored for a month with no power. Today I go and connect power and the inverter swithces to AC and dispays Otemp/less load (the book says invert temp to high- its 46 degree and did this instantly) with battery led solid yellow and the error led red. The display shows batt at 40% charge. The inveter in the battery compartment led is blinking orange (indicating absorption charge). The inverter is making an intermittent buzzing sound and the AC power meter is moving very slow and then faster as the unit buzzes. The remote panel showed 42% charge on the batt when I left. I will be going back tomorrow to check.
Can anyone pls give me guidance.
