Power problem continued

I am still working on my power problem. I appreciate the suggestions I received from many of you. I had already tried some of them, and did try the others as they applied to my equipment. I have had assistance by phone from Butch Williams, a former CC electrician, and several retired electricians in the RV park in Alamo, TX. It appears that the problem is the transfer switch that is located in the 50 amp surge protector (TRC brand) mounted above the bed in the rear. Unfortunately I don't know how to determine for certain that it is bad. I can hear the relay or transfer switch cutting on and off and I haven't found any information that indicates I can replace it as a separate part. Is that enough for me to pay the $279.88 for a new on from Tweetys? That is the cheapest price I have been able to find for it. Is there a way I can test it?

Thanks,

Gene, transfer switch should not cause over temp fault. All I can tell you is that on my magna, there was no cooling fan in the inverter compartment and got the ot code. The inverter was fried from constant heat.installed fan and new inverter. Problem solved.

Gene, Ken here, Sorry your still having problems. Wish I were there to help. I would remove the Main Coach supply surge protector , Mine blew up and tripped the Coach duel pole 50 amp main breaker due to a faulty open ground and neutral. Power Co. repaird our Park Pedistal. I carefully open Generaror breakers, Bypass Trensfer Sw. go from there and feel free to Call me in Yuma Also like a fellow CC owner said remove all house surge protectors process of Ele. There was a Thread a while back on Larger Diesels heating up the Inverter Compartment on our Little C-8.3 the Exhaust Manifold is on the Street side of the coach and the Inverter in on the Curb side. Working at Cat we had several Fires on Quiet Portable Diesel Generators due to Noise Silencer foam to Close to the Duel Muffler System. I did several Recalls on Moving the Rubber Foam from the Mufflers. I dont want to steer away from this post. Just wanred to Share this. Ken 99 Allure 30356
