Help with what should be a small electrical problem.

I seem to have lost power to my forward overhead lights, curb lights, porch light, and the ability to control the kitchen overhead lights from the entry switches. When I checked the control panel, under the pilot's seat, the center section of the fuse board is not lit up.
Both the right and left sides are lit up like a Christmas tree. I have the feeling I goobered some place, but can't spot it. Your wise and knowledgeable assistance is requested.

Thank you,

Chuck, I believe that if the key is on, then the other lights as fuse panel will light up. Not sure what else may be causing your problem however.

Chuck / Dale,

If you have to turn on the ignition switch to get the panel to come on I would guess you could have a bad ignition switch. I don't have my coach here so that I can look at the wiring diagrams though.

Kevin and Dale, thank you both for your quick reply.
Had not looked at the board to see if it was lit up with the ignition on.
MY assumption, (bad word assumption), was that with all of these lights going out at the same time and seeing the center of the fuse board dark, that the power supply had been interrupted by a breaker, switch, solenoid, or something simple that I'm overlooking. We are new to this coach, so still learning.

Thank you

Yes on what you has been said. I think the problem is in the electrical bay in front of the first storage bay. The one that's hard to get to where the inverter is. Should find a fuse blown for the 12 volt feed, seems it feeds the solenoid for the 12 volt side of the coach. Had the same problem and trying to remember and think this is right without going to the coach and digging out the manuel.

Thanks Leonard,

That makes sence to me. Had not thought about there being additional fuses/breakers else where in the coach other than the battery bay and bedroom Breaker panel. Haven't opened up that compartment yet for exploration. Goes to the top of my "check it out" list.

Thanks again,

Forward inside of the first bay, is your inverter/domestic fuse compartment. It is sandwiched by the water heater on the driver side and the furnace on the passenger side.
The fuse to wire 402 likely controls your entry lights and porch light.
The fuse to wire 404 might also be involved as it is described as "Front O.H. cabinet lights in living room".

418 fuse controls overhead fluorescent lighting.
In the front run box (below the driver position), Fuse 29 controls the docking (curb) lights.
On my rig, the center line of fuses in the front run box do not light up until the ignition is switched on.

Hope this helps.

Inside that bay, you will find 1 or 2 reset buttons. If one has popped, you will feel it reset when you press in on it.
Had that happen once on my 2000 Affinity 42'.
