Recommendation Needed ~ Swap Carpet for Tile ~ Sho...

I discussed this with Bob Lee's OMC and the first issue is matching the original tile. Then removing the original partial tile pieces where the tile meets the carpet without damaging the heating pad. For these two reasons they wanted to remove all the tile and start over - $15,000 estimate! I still have my carpet. If you find a better answer, let me know also.

I have one place in mind that seems to be able to do just about any modification to coaches. It is Coachcraft in Columbus, GA. Not exactly next door to VA but it is in the east. They have a web site but if you need a phone number I can provide it for you. Ask for Kenny Rogers.
The big issue is whether you also want heat in the new tile area. That may be the deciding factor as to who can do it. I know that in the morning I step up front to the unheated tile at the entry way and boy what a difference.
I also would love to can the carpet and go all tile but we love the radiant heat. However we have not checked into so we are interested in what you find out.

Folks,I have an 04 Allure, 33 Seaside, double slide with carpet and radiant heat in galley area tile. I would love to lose the carpet and go all tile. Any recommendations for somebody competent to do this? I'm in Virginia so I would really like to find someone east. Thanks in advance and drive safe.

dye lots change, grout colors change, trying to match up original, if not exact in dye lot will not look worth the money you spend.

$15,000 - for 300 sq ft of tile? What is the breakdown of materials vs labor. If there is a big market for this, I think I will go to tile laying school! Are they stiffening the frame, boosting the suspension and putting on heavier duty tires at the same time?
Why does it all have to match? Why not pick out a complimentary tile to separate the kitchen from the living space?

My husband and I are having our heated tile and carpet replaced with a 2 zone heated floor covered with granite for less than that. We are having it done at Premier RV, next to the old CC main office. Owned by Gary Obermire and Louie Cordemanch (I butchered his name)...work done by Davis Rutherford. We saw the job he did on our friends CC...from the stairs all the way back through the bathroom to the closet....it was beautiful...additional 1,200 lbs if you have the ability.

Hi All we wanted to replace the carpet with tile and after all the issues of trying to match the tile we chose cherry wood at %8.00 per sq foot and it was installed by Lassen RV but I think any floor installer that deals with wood can do it.
