Hurricane Furnace Block Heater Disable?

Yahoo Message Number: 68695
My 2000 Magna's Hurricane Heater warms the engine block. I discovered this by turning my Silver Leaf on after a cold night at the campground and the engine coolant temperature read about 120F.
I'm now parked in my daughter's driveway and only want to keep the temperature in the coach at about 55 degrees and prevent any water lines from freezing as the temperature here goes below freezing. I really don't need to heat the engine block.
I've studied my plumbing and electrical diagrams and see no way to shut off the Hurricane's loop to the engine block. Does anyone know if there is a solenoid valve, or any other valve, I can close that will prevent the heated fluid from going to the engine block?

I would leave things as are. Put in valve and forget to open it and what could be the consequence?

Pete,

My coach is Affinity #5865 and there is no valve to bypass the engine on mine, but I believe there should be one.
From what I've be able to ascertain from this forum they did a lot of different configurations during this time frame. It is stupid to have to heat the engine and waste all those BTU's in order to heat the coach. In fact it keeps the Hurricane from heating the coach like it should in severely cold enviorment. If I had any spare time I would find a way to bypass the engine with some electric solenoids and you would probably have to add a coolant reservoir for the hurricane. If you come up with something let me know. Good Luck!

Pete,

My Hurricane has a switch on the control panel in the basement that runs the engine loop pump. If I turn this off, the engine coolant isn't circulated through the heat exchanger. Now this doesn't close the loop, but serves as a way to preheat the engine if desired or not.

Thanks all for the responses. I did more research after Kevin answered my post and agree that it appears lots of things were changed and there doesn't seem to be any consistency in those changes to heating system.
It does appear from the plumbing diagram that there is a location that would allow a single solenoid valve to work to defeat the engine being heated. However, I don't know where that location is actually located and I hadn't thought of needing a coolant reservoir if I bypass the engine. I think I'll leave things as they are.
