All,

Any systems for this model coach that we should be particularity concerned about during PDI? Appreciate any comments from the group about this process.
Sincerely,

Reese

Reese,

I'd check every window carefully. The Magna and Affinity windows are/were notoriously bad for vacuum leaks - made by Si-Ge. A friend has a 2008 Affinity and had to have 8-9 windows replaced. Our 2006 Affinity has had 10 windows replaced. Also, the motor control box for your patio awnings on the roof has a tendency to fill with water causing a short. Check both awnings. Good luck

Martin,

When I bought my Magna I was looking into the Affinity windows as an option because I loved the way they looked. I was told by Country Coach and many others that the flat Affinity windows had water leak problems so I did not buy them. I just didn't want the headaches.

I was told the Magna windows did not have the water leak problems and that has been my experience.

I would make sure all the settings are correct on the GPS/Dash stereo. Make sure the camera goes to the turn signals and reverse etc. Go over the system operation with them as if all the settings are not correct it can be a bear to chase down. As well on the home stereo make sure you know how to turn on the speakers in the bay area as the home stereo needs to have all the settings correct for it to work. I would write all that down, for future reference I also have an ISX 650 HP and have had no issues with the engine. The only issue that came up was that when I use the Exhaust Brake on high on a long hill, I get an error message that says high fuel pressure. At this condition and high rpm , the fuel bypassed cannot get back to the tank fast enough and the error message shows up. It is not a concern and will go away after the first or second time you turn the engine off and restart. Sometimes it takes 2 tries to get the error message to go away. I also love the power and high effectiveness of the exhaust brake. As the saying goes " there is no replacement for displacement "

When we picked up our coach at the factory, I had my wife film the 8 hours of going over the coach. It's been priceless, trying to remember the 100 or so systems and how they worked....

Hi Matthew,

We have a 08' Custom Affinty, picked it up at the factory.
First item, we DO NOT have vacuum seal leaks in our windows and second the bus style window were NEVER an option on the Magna.
That was reserved for the Affinity and higher lines The do not leak water nor air. We did have one not open correctly in the befinning but it was taken care of at the dealer promptly.
We have 3 other fellow Affinty owners who we travel with and they to have had little or not window glass issues.
Sorry, but the information needs to be accurate.
