Fred, would appreciate your clarifing your item 8, last sentence, of your "Care Of Batteries For Long Life" - do you mean that I should disconnect the house batteries befor checking the water level? I usually turn the inverter off when plugged into shore power, but check water level while plugged into said shore power with loads such as AC and fefrigerator on. Will tghese loads on will I get a false reading on the water level?

Hi Bob,

Checking the electrolyte level with the disconnects set to OFF and shore power removed has several advantages:
1. Reduced hydrogen generation - safety issue.
2. If you add too much water you can remove it before it gets mixed by
discharge or recharge.

I like to keep the electrolyte about 1/2 in. above the plates and use only distilled water.
