Generator Run Light

Generator Run Light

Does anyone have experience with a generator start light (control panel next to the bed) and hour meter (overhead at drivers seat) continues to run when the gen set is off and what did you do to correct the problem?
I have a 1994 Magna and this started just a month ago after running the gen set for several hours.
