Lower corner slide room trim

I have a 2006 Inspire, #51836. Due to delamination, my three slide rooms were replaced at the factory in November, 2007. The new slide rooms have metal angle trim pieces at the lower corners of the slide. As far as I can tell, they are not just trim - I think they protect the fiberglass corners as the room moves in and out. Looks like the inside end of the trim is rounded to facilitate sliding over the carpet?
These trim pieces have come loose on two slide rooms, and are moving in and out with the room when the slide is extended. Needless to say, I want to repair these.
I found an earlier post, #72414, that touched on this, but I have a few questions:
I need to remove these trim pieces so that I can clean off the old adhesive, and reattach. I can't move them, as the weight of the slide room is holding them in place. Can I raise the slide room slightly so that I can remove them? If yes, what is the appropriate process to do so?
The earlier post indicates that the pieces should be riveted in place, but the lower corners appear to be fiberglass, which I can't see taking rivets well. Thoughts on reattaching these trim pieces?
One of these trim pieces has been bent somewhat as it has moved in and out with the slideroom, unattached. If it cannot be straightened, are replacements available? If so, where?

It is not hard to jack up the slide room !! a couple of screw jacks or a floor jack with a 4x4 and a 12x12 pad under the slide to lift against you can go high enough to remove the corner's you should have one on each end If you have screws on the under side the ones on the inner side are a real tough to get out but with some patience you can get them you will need to clean the corner pieces spotless on the inside ( wire wheel ) and clean the fiberglass so no old adhesive is remaining and the prime the inside of corners and the fiberglass with pinch weld primer and use a sika 227 as your adhesive and clamp or tape or ??? how ever you want to hold them in place until dry the pieces are stainless steel and are not hard to straiten hope this will be of help Denny Parker

I used SS oval head counter sunk screws to secure the angle. In my case the problem was with the main D/S slide's forward trim. I could retract the slide and do the work inside owing to adequate room behind the driver's seat. There is 1" x 1" steel square bar in there which you'll need to fasten to. If done carefully, you can restrain the trim piece and the screws won't show when the slide is extended. Screws are behind the gasket. In my case one screw did the trick. You may want to put two in, however. Not sure how the Inspire is setup.
This whole trim piece situation stems from a fundamentally poor design. Those angle pieces serve to seal, terminate, restrain, skid and guide the lower corner of the slide. They need to be securely fastened by something much stronger than a thin caulk bead. As an afterthought "home" remedy, the screws are your best option. Water leaks are a concern too as just about every slide join that supposedly is sealed will eventually leak.
