Fast Idle

In November of '98,we drove the coach out of the factory. In the waiting room, I heard people talking about using the fast idle after starting the engine. Tried it on ours and nothing happened, so thought ours did not come with that feature. Went to a CCI rally and mentioned it to a tech and he said it had that feature so would send someone over. Went to a seminar, got back to the coach and DW said a tech came by and fast idle now works. 2 days ago it quit working. Anyone with a suggestion as to where to start trouble shooting.

Watching this closely. The original owner of our Allure also said he could set his idle to fast during warm up but stopped working years ago. He thought it had to do with King cruise control.

On my '95 Magna, after starting, you flip the switch to turn on the cruise control and then rotate the speed knob to whatever idle speed you want.

Above the Allison shift pad, there are 3 switches in one group. Pulled it out , then pulled each wire connector and reinstalled a couple of times trying to clean the connections. Started the engine and YEA, fast idle in back in service.
Nate, I neglected to mention in the 1th post that my coach has the ISC engine, so do not know which make of cruise control mine uses. Seem to recall the King control was used with the mechanical engine.

Yep we have the mechanical. The original owner said he could push the gas pedal and then set the cruise?? Maybe he was mistaken I found nothing about it in the manuals. I just start it up and use my foot for a few minutes then let her idle.
Thanks

On my 2000 Magna with a Cat C10 engine, I turn the cruise control on and then bump the set control repeatedly until the engine is idling at the engine rpm I want.

It worked! Set the cruise on and bumped it up with the accelerate button. Thanks Nathan Blackwell

On my 2000 Magna with Cat C10. I Turn the cruise control on and then hold the cruise control button forward and the Engine Rpm will increase until it reaches the rpm I desire.
