Tachometer went caput. All it does is run test. Anyone else experience this?

Where do I get a new one or this one repaired?

My tac failure was a symptom of a problem with my alternator. I would consider this before I replace the tac.

Jon,

My tack problem was a sensor CC mounted on transmission not the tack itself!

Thanks, as we have similar coaches. I called VDO and they explained that the non volatile ram went south or it forgot it was a tach. This happened when a battery cable came loose and toasted a terminal. New ones are about $150 Then you have to program it. Lucky I have a Silver Leaf and don't really need it.

Thanks

My tachometer failed several years ago. It was an intermittent failure. The tachometer would start working after running awhile. I limped along using the Silverleaf for a year and then had the tach changed out at OMC. The gauge was the problem. The new gauge was about $100, as I recall.
