Repairs and New Toys

Yahoo Message Number: 87745
Last week we spent the week in Eugene-Juction City having work done and some new toys installed. Stayed 4 days at CARRIER AND SONS RV SERVICE getting work done on the coach and having the car setup to tow. Tony an ex CC service tech for 10+ years did a great job doing things the right way. While there we went do to SilverLeaf and had the VMS 330 installed, what a set of gauges the install took about 1hr. Next year will be going back for side camera install. The last day we went over to Kustom Coach Works and had the Dish Winegard 1000 Trav'ler and reciver installed, got them at Camping World on sale, thanks to Bobby Vodden for his quick install and walk through on how everything works. They will be doing the Samsung RF197ACWP 17.8 cu. ft. 3-Door French Door Refrigerator sent to there place for the install if I can find one close to them. While there they just did an install on an 07 Tiffin there Norcold 1200 went out 3 times and had a new residential installed what a sweet setup and they did a great job. Scott of Amazing Creations had to do some ceiling light work to get the door to open all the way another job well done.
3 places that I give a big thumbs up to for there work.

While I have nothing against Carrier and Sons RV Service, I don't understand why so many of you travel all the way to Junction City area, and don't utilize Country Coach for your service work. I have found them to be nothing short of excellent in both service and customer service attention. Should the need arise, they will be where I go. Also, for those that are now contemplating the installation of a HydraLift on the back of the coach to carry a motorcycle/4-wheeler/golf cart, Country Coach is now a factory approved installer/sales rep.
Not to mention that this summer they expect to begin production of new coaches.

Well, maybe you should ask my friend. He bought a coach from that was on consignment and supposedly it had their 130+ point inspection. Guess they didn't inspect for slide leaks, acorns in the main awning, acorns in the door awning. The door awning was bound up so much, the motor burned out. Oh yes, forgot about the acorns hidden in the mirrors. The coach was back for some routine maintenance including transmission service which was supposed to include new filters. Needless to say, the bolts holding the filters in were still rusted and had not seen a wrench in recent days.
Sorry but I can't agree that the CC factory is that much better than Oregon Motorcoach or Carrier. Both companies have a wealth of CC knowledge seeing as how a lot of their workforce came from CC.

About 99% of the coach owners have a great time at CC but there is that 1% so that must be me. They charge me to hook up 2 wires on the frig after they did the factory recall, checked and charged me for the hot water heater said it was OK had to replace the element at Carriers broke in half when he pulled it out. The EMS board did not light up said nothing about it, had to get one off ebay $125. The black tank had about 4" of something in it, you guess. All of this is my faul but coming from a Alpenlite 5er of 10 years and living in it full time working on different jobs this is all new to me so i'm paying for it now. In the 5mo that we have had it I have put almost $10,000 into it and have only slept in it 4 nights at Carrier and it only has 17,000 miles on it. Now looking at a new Samsung frig what a money pit but I like the coach. This is my story and there is more!!! Floyd 2006 Inspire 51744
