Tow Car Batrtery Always Dead by end of day ( Towing 2008 Lincoln SUV

I have installed a charging unit from the RV to the car. But, the Lincoln when on accessory uses more amps than Is being charged. Does anyone have any ideas ?

Disconnect the ground lead on the car battery when towing.
