Echo to Magnum

Need a little help!

My Xantrex Echo Charger went out so the wife got me for my birthday a new Magnum Smart Battery Combiner. I left the old one in and installed the Magnum on the other side where I can see it. So my question is, with 4, 6v house batteries and 1 8D chassis battery where do you set the controls. Connect Voltage (Disconnect Low V----High V) Looks like right now Connect Voltage 12.9 Low V 12.6 High V 14.1 but with a volt meter plugged into the power port it showes 12.3 V been the same for 3 days so it must be working and the amber light is on that reads-- Disconnected. I was getting tired of turning off the master switch, one time with a dead chassis battery did it.
Any help on this would be great.

Floyd,

When I installed mine I went with the defaults as listed in the manual and reproduced below. This is a quality device.
The ME-SBCTM combining setpoints as follows: Connect Voltage: (Settable: 12.8-13.8 VDC) adjusts the point at which the MESBCTM passes the charge from the Main Battery bank to the Auxiliary Battery bank or vice versa. This setting is not active until a charging source is applied to one of the batteries and the voltage begins to increase. Once this setpoint has been reached, the ME-SBCTM will automatically start to pass the charge current through to the other battery. Default = 12.8 / 25.6 VDC (12V /24 V system)
Low Voltage Disconnect: (Settable: 12.5-13.5 VDC) once the charging process has begun and the battery voltage has exceeded the Connect Voltage setpoint, the Low Voltage Disconnect becomes active. If the voltage begins to decrease, this is the point at which the ME-SBCTM disconnects and stops passing charge current through to the other battery. Default = 12.5 / 25.0 VDC (12V /24 V system)
High Voltage Disconnect: (Settable: 14.0-15.0 VDC) This setting should be used to prevent the ME-SBCTM from passing through too high of a voltage from one battery to other. If this voltage is reached, the ME-SBCTM disconnects the batteries and prevents the high voltage from affecting the other battery. Default = 14.0 / 28.0 VDC (12V /24 V system

Floyd,

Try calling Magnum. I replaced my inverter & they were very helpful.
