Slide Windows

I have a 2007 CC Inspire, Genoa 40 ft. with 3 slides. Build number is 52029. On the driver side dining/desk slide I have windows at each end of the slide. The bottom half of each window slides up for ventilation. The size of each slide up window is approximately 23.25"? high by 22.5"? wide (frame to frame). The inner pane of the duel pane "slide-up"? window by the desk (more-or-less behind the driver seat) has a very large number of cracks but no glass has fallen out (yet) - presumably due to some safety film between the panes?? The outer pane is in good shape - no cracks.
I am trying to find someone in the San Diego or Phoenix area to replace the lower pane which is cracked. I contacted RV Glass Solutions in Oregon (which also has a service center in Phoenix) but they quoted me a price of $1,106.26 which is for a total replacement of the entire window (fixed upper and moveable lower) and all the frames. For some reason they would not (or could not?) replace just the lower/cracked window. Does anyone have some suggestions?

In the old days when the seal failed on Airstream travel trailers sealed insulated windows, owners had the option of replacing the window or if they were lucky they would find experience techs that would remove the inner pain. I always replaced mine while they were available. But After 12 years of fighting windows, plasticote, and then not being able to find parts for my disc brakes I traded for my first CC in 1998. Good luck. By the way the guys at the Phoenix shop use to run the Inspire plant when your coach was built.

Try "The Glass Shop" in Los Angeles (323-223-1883). They replaced a window in my 2006 Inspire. They take out the window including the frame and get a replacement glass manufactured and then reinstall the window frame with the new glass. Takes a couple of days. I plan on having them replace all the fogged glass in my 2007 Magna.

Try Peninsula Glass in Vancouver Washington. They quoted me a little over $300 for a completely new passenger window that goes just behind the entry door. The quote included the frame and the window was split so it could be opened up. They will ship to you. Contact info is peninsulaglass.com or motionwindows.com and they are at 6005 NE 121St Ave. phone is 360-944-4446.
