Dumping air and recall

On these subjects I offer the following.
Many trucks have air bag suspension. Maybe some of the CC owners who also own air ride trucks will confirm this point for me. Truckers don't dump the air to the bags when the unit is not in service or stored. Our local swimming pool water tanker is air ride with the same ride height valves as mine and They stay up all the time. I am of the impression there is no benefit to doing that.
On the recall, now I am concerned. I asked about it and was told I do not qualify under the recall 36 foot "Galley's open" which I beleive was the largest slide in it's time. I am still waiting on a response from Gentry

about my 1900lb difference on the rear tires favoring the Gagalley side. Maybe it is because I am second owner. Gee they did recertify that my front axel was good for another 1000 lbs 12500 to 13500 but no new tires.

My trucks are on air and there is no dump function. They stay up all the time. I don't understand why anyone would want to dump the air for storage! I've seen some dump functions for trailers to allow for lower deck height for docks.

Jim,

If your coach has 12R/22.5 tires it is not involved in the recall.
If it has 275/70R tires then maybe the original owner already had them replaced?

Your weight difference will always exist, however you can get the numbers closer by playing with your ride hieght. I would start by just having it checked for a baseline.

The benefit to dumping your air while in storage is to prevent moisture.
