Fresh water tank fill

How to I add vinegar or chlorox to my fresh water tank. I do not have a pump that will do this. Nor do I have access to the tank except attaching a hose to fill it with water from a tap.

Any suggestions.

One common way is to attach the hose to the motorhome. Then fill the hose with bleach or vinegar before attaching to faucet. Now turn on water at faucet and then each faucet in the coach until you smell what you put in the hose. Turn everything off and leave overnight.

Hi All,

Consider this.

Using Clorex (sodium hypocloride) or vinegar (acetic acid) will render your water filter useless in as little as 200 gallons.
To remedy the situation, the filter should be removed and at least 2 flushings are required which is a big time consuming job.
The big way to prevent growth in the tank and piping, is to remove the water from the tank and drain the lines the day you are back from a trip.

Problem with draining is the system will never completely drain so small pockets of water will remain. Some have found this out when they blew out system to winterize without antifreeze and found broken connections or valves.
