passenger side ac controls

This last trip when I place the dash switch to allow passenger ac/heat controls it was blowing heated air and the temp control would only allow heat. If I switched back got full dash air. It would seem the temp control is not working. Does anyone have any idea as to how the system works or suggestions on troubleshooting? Rod

I had the same problem with my 2005 allure. Roll out the generator and there are 2 heater valves on the firewall. One for driver side and one for passenger side I replaced the valve on passenger side and it fixed the problem. I then took the valve apart and a screw had came loose in the valve not allowing the heater hose to stop the flow of hot water. You could put a clamp on the hose to stop the flow of hot water to see if that valve is the problem.
