Air Condition does not start for 15-20 minutes ------ By then you ar

I have a 2005 Inspire. Temp outside 90 degrees. I start my generator, and wait for amps to reach 7 or 8 and then turn on the AC. I set the Air to 68 in zone one and two . Zone two will activate but not Zone One. Zone One may take up to 15 to 20 minutes to start, by then you are cooking. I therefore set the thermostat for zone two at 80 degrees thinking that Zone one would come on, but NO.
 What is the problem that I need to resolve ? Does anyone have any ideas?

It takes several minutes for my air conditioners to start after turning them on also.  I thought it was just the way they operated.  The manual says there will be a 2 minute delay, at times it seems much longer than that.

We also have an 05 CC Inspire, our ACs have a couple minute delay but always come on. I will also say that the thermostat is a few degrees warmer than the setting.

could it be the Energy Management System delay? Do you turn both AC's on at once? Are you on 50 amp service and have you checked the amps to make sure the power is sufficient coming into the coach? Low voltage will cause our AC to start later.  When we plug into shore power, it takes about 5 minutes for our power to come on inside the coach, then another 5 minutes for the front AC to come on after we turn on the thermostat. Our front AC has a longer delay than the rear AC. Takes about 5 minutes.  It's a newer AC than the rear. Wonder if that makes a difference?

If I am in a hurry I start the Airs with the fans on manual low and normally the compressor clicks in after 2 minutes, where if the fan is set to automatic the time before the system starts up can extend to over 5 minutes.  TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731

My 2005 Inspire also takes about 2 minutes for the air conditioners to come on after shore power is activated.
