2007 Allure

there is a black thing with a glass bowl on the bottom that is hooked up to air line with electric wires on top and bottom . it is located driver side front compartment.

i feel it is an air dryer for the electric pump. there is water in    the sides of the glass bowl. it says bendix on the device. it is not    on any bendix catalog i could find on line. would like to take apart    but dont know if it is under pressure

Sounds like a air brake dryer. Bendex is a brand of air brake parts .
If I remeber correct there was a buy out of one of the company's for air brakes parts.
