No backup camera image

Yahoo Message Number: 7601
All of a sudden, we get no backup camera image on the Panasonic monitor. I've checked the connections that I can, including the one in the back of the rig that is accessed through the closet. They all appear to be OK. Checked the "setup" and it's OK.
Radio works OK, CD Player OK.

Fuse location? No clue.

Any help troubleshooting this would be welcome.
Thanks...

Hi Jan,

We have had this problem several times. CC replaced the monitor up front, then it happened again. One of the techs went under the dash and there is a silver metal box that is 2" x 3" in size and there is an inline fuse coming into the box. Pull the fuse and then put it back in or replace it if it is bad. I have pulled it and put it back a couple of times and it seems to fix the problem. We have had it happen twice last summer and pulling the fuse and then putting it back seems to do the trick. Dale 2002 Affinity 6129

Jann, Are you sure of your "set-up"? the menu should be set for your "back up camara" to be "primary" not "video"

I've had to re-set mine several times

Check again.

Jan,

Mine did the same thing and CC helped me re-program using the menu feature and that fixed it.

Jim: Can't offer much help on the back-up camera, but I'm interested in knowing where you are staying in Oceanside. We have stayed at DeAnza in SanDiego for several years now, but it is closed. Most parks are full in the SanDiego area. Where do you stay? Can you offer any suggestions?

Sounded good to me, but I've checked under there now and can't find any box that fits that description...only thing that was close was what was going to and from the CB radio. Fuse checks out OK in the main fuse panel under there.

Was it easy to find under the dash? I've got the Panasonic's main housing that looks OK as far as connections.
Thanks for the help...Jan

Yup, got the setup right...I'm getting the feeling that our camera has conked out...I've heard that happening before...all else seems to check out oK.

Thanks for the help...Jan

Larry...we're at Oceanside's Paradise by the Sea. No "Paradise" but it's more convenient for us since our family is all up in North COunty. We've stayed here over Christmas for 3 years now and have no real complaints. They are tight spaces, but OK. Walk to the beach which is nice. CLEAN pool and jacuzzi. We rent by the month which makes it a bit more affordable since all these places in SD are ripoffs. (550/mo plus electric) Owner is ex pro football player who is always improving it. Trains nearby, of course....a requirement for zoning for RV parks.

Not sure if you can do this or not but when my backup camera went out, not same model as yours, the techs disconnected the camera and then hooked a VCR to the video cable which verified that the camera had failed....you might try this and see if the works.

Jan,

It wasn't real easy to find. It was more toward the windshield in the back part under the dash. It is down and towards the back near the firewall. Try following the wires from the back of the monitor to find the box. Ours is a panasonic also and probably the same model. The fuse has been the problem each time we have lost the picture. You might call and see if one of the phone techs can help you find it. There is definitely an inline fuse that has been my problem. Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier but I have been out all day. Hope this helps, Dale
