RV Covers

Hello, everyone.  This is my first post.  I have bought my first RV and want to know if anyone has any suggestions.  I do not have a garage to park the coach in over the winter.  I live in Seattle ( Yes truly a very wet place in the winter) and want to know if anyone has advice about buying a cover.  Such as: what kind, where to buy one, do they really help protect the coach, any advice would be helpful.

We had a travel trailer years ago and I had a cover I got from Camping World (Adco).  I was younger and more nimble in those days but it was still a PITA to put on.

IMO, unless you can devise a way to get a heavy cover up to your roof, climb on the roof to put it on, then climb back down, I can't see their practical usefulness.  I would look for covered storage in your area or build a RV port if that is an option.

FWIW, we got our Allure in 2013 and it has been stored outside at our home in Virginia whenever it is not rolling down the road.  While I would have preferred to have it under cover (my HOA won't allow me to put up a port), it still looks new.  I keep it clean using Wash-Wax All and periodically clean the roof and put on a coat of Zep high traffic floor wax (on the roof).

I am using one of these roof covers this year for the first time.  It's lighter and easier to get on & off than a full cover, and keeps the leaves & crap off the roof while still allowing easy access to the door, engine, and basement compartments.
