How Do I Replace Engine Battery?

Yahoo Message Number: 104032
The engine battery in my 2004 CC Allure is dying--I think.  I keep the coach plugged in to 50 amp service all the time and I keep the inverter on.
The battery now hesitates at start-up (I start it up once a month and run it for 10-15 minutes) and I also notice the voltage meter in the dash now shows it recharging at about 15 volts and it is usually around 13.  The combination of those two symptoms leads me believe the battery needs to be replaced.
The current battery is a WORKOHOLIC 8D-XHD 1155 CCA (which I assume is cold-cranking amps)
It looks like I can order one off the internet for about $210-$235, unless some of you have a better idea.

But I am concerned about the procedure for replacing it.
I don't imagine it is just a matter of disconnecting the cables to the battery and slipping the new one in.  For instance, do I disconnect from 50 amp service?  And should I turn off the inverter or not?

Any information and guidance would be deeply appreciated.

To replace the battery, remove the cables, negative first, and get some strong back to remove the old and install the new. Then reconnect the cables, positive first

Before assuming a bad battery, I would check the Echo charger for correct operation. If you don't have the manual, you can get one on the internet.

Your inverter is powered from the house batteries so nothing to do with chassis battery. You can stay plugged into shore power. You can shut everything off by using the switches at the rear of the coach

I do not agree that your battery is failed. Run a jumper or separately isolate the starting battery and fully charge then have it checked. Otherwise you will be wasting money.  The charging system may normally charge at 13V. But if the battery is low it will boost to 15V until charged. Usually the inverter  charge does not charge the starting battery.

My inverter charger doesn't charge the engine battery.  It's charged by the alternator only (I think).  What I did was put an external charger on the battery measured the charging current and voltage then when it was charged checked the specific gravity.
