Slide Won't Retract

My drivers side slide will not retract. The two other slides will retract. When I push the drivers side slide retract switch, nothing happens.

I'm hooked up to 50 amp shore power and have tried to retract the slide with the engine running. My battery voltage is 13.6 volts.

The drivers side slide has a flat floor mechanism, where the floor drops into the basement before the slide will retract. The floor operates on air and does not drop. I can manually drop it by releasing the air but am reluctant to do that as it's about 30 degrees outside. I'm not sure I'll be able to bring the floor back up.

The red "pump on" light does not come on when I try to retract the drivers side slide. It does come on when the other two slides retract.

I've jumped the #21 wire in the steer bay from the wire to a ground in the steer bay without success. The #21 wire goes from the parking brake pressure switch to the parking brake light, air leveler brain, slide room pump and low voltage PCB (whatever that is).

The coach levels without any issues.

There are a couple of sensors above the slide trim that need to be aligned. I've checked them and they are okay.

There are some fuses under the front drivers side of the coach. They all check out okay.

I held the HWH reset switch down for 3 seconds and the system resets.

I'm out of ideas and would very much appreciate any help you may offer.

I also looked at old posts on this Group and checked the bay door switches, and tapped the 3 solenoids on the pump. Still no luck.

Paul, It may be that your Toggle Switch is not making complete contact, several including myself have found this problem. One of the contacts on back of switch is the power switch.I found my problem by getting into the switch and putting a knife blade between the contacts and got power, so purchased a new Toggle Switch from HWH.

Had that problem on the road in our 2006 Inspire on the rear bedroom slide. Fuses were good. Traced the wiring finding a fuse inside the upper part of the storage compartment under the slide electric motor. Took it to an auto parts store and they could not find one like it, so went to a hardware store where they matched it. Replaced it and it worked.

Asked a tech about and was told it probably went due to accidently "rocking" the toggle switch.

there is a fuse in our slide near the motor. It is a silver fuse. Kevin Waite can answer what type.

Both of our slides had intermittent problems. We found loose wire connections in the rear electrical bay on the passenger side (last compartment). Tightened all the wires and no more problems. This was after we paid a shop to bypass the limit switch on one slide. They said it was probably ghost current??? WTH.

I have a 2003 Magna with 3 slide-outs that I bought in June. In Oct. in Las Vegas I had the same problem. I called HWH & they walked me thought their system and everything on the HWH system was ok. I then call CC & talk to Greg. Greg didn't know much about the drop floor system & the genius that knew the drop floor system unfortunately passes away 3 years ago.  Greg called me back & told me that there is a relief valve in the system but doesn't know where it is. I found the valve but it's not a relief valve, it's a operating valve. This valve is a pneumatic actuation valve with two solenoid that operate floor up & floor down. Because of the low voltage the magnet solenoid on the down floor position will not operate. There are also micro switches on the floor that activates the slide-out. If the floor not full up or full down the slide-out will not operate. Here is what worked for me.



1. The valve is in the second compartment driver side. 2. Remove the plywood ceiling closest to the compartment door. 3. The valve has 2 screws with nuts holding it up. Remove both of them. 4. The valve is hanging by hoses now. There are two solenoid with 2 wires on each. There is an allen screw on the end of both solenoid. Unscrew both (there is a spacer on the screw side of the solenoid) 5. Now swap the solenoid position(down floor to the up floor side & the up floor to the down floor side). Also change the wires two wires on each solenoid. The wires are marked up floor & down floor. Thanks CC for marking all the wires on there coaches. 6. I found on my coach that there was a lose wire in the electrical compartment. (red lead to the middle fuse bar) that caused the low voltage). Check them before testing the floor.

Because of the lose wire I also had a Jake Brake malfunction & the Silver Leaf shut down. I having trouble downloading photos. Send me you text address I'll send you the photos I have. Greg
