So Lyle - Did the make another nice mistake and slide a ISM into that baby:)!
We found that our build sheet was accurate, where as our mirror label of components was off. We too have the 15K AC's (Two interesting factoids I stumbled across in regards to the 15K units. 1) Yep, 30K is better then 27K - about 11% more cooling capacity. 2) The energy draw of the 15K is lower then the 13.5K, so for those paying for shore power, a nice thing to know:)!
Our HyroHot was close to being accurate on the the mirror label, but was also off a bit. Unfortunately, not enough to get us the double element that many of the higher models of CC came with. Not the end of the world, but for sure a double element is better then the single... (Can really make a difference in the quietness of overnight heating. The double element can keep up with furnace heating demand down into the low 30's. Our single element does pretty good until down around 36-37, then we end up either turning on the radiant floor heating or freestanding electric heater to augment. (We prefer to not run the Diesel if we can avoid it, for both the noise avoidance, and not adding fumes to an RV park. That being said, at 6-8 degrees in the snow of British Columbia, we had the diesel fired up while dry camping. Kept us nice and toasty, and as we were on the edge of an ice covered lake by ourselves, did not impact anyone around us. Once we got coach and water hot in the AM, we'd put our Mr Heater on the low setting, and maintain a pretty comfortable temp.))
It's always nice to find you have something a bit better then you thought:)! Best,
Smitty
