ABS Light

On return from a 150 mile trip, my ABS light came on. There doesn't seems to be anything wrong with the brakes, but I have no idea. Is there something simple or is this just a "bring to mechanic" type thing.

Try toggling the off/on switch in the front electrical bay with the engine on. Turn the engine off then on. On occasion making a turn on a rough surface will activate an ABS error.

I believe that if you have tax axle in the up position it will turn on the ABS light.

It happens with mine quite a bit. I asked CC about it and they said that is not uncommon especially if you have raised the tag or parked on an I level surface. Shutting down and restarting after a short distance clears it

Do you have silverleaf? Mine showed me what axle was bad. Needed to replace the sensor. According the write-ups that wheel the sensor is showing bad you don't have ABS but the other wheels should be working correctly.

The ABS light can be activated by dirt on the sensor on just one wheel. I've been advised by a mechanic to ignore it unless it persists for some time. If it's just dirt, it'll probably be knocked off the next time you drive thru a puddle. The worst situation is that your ABS won't activate. But if you're trying to stop hard enough to activate the ABS, then you need to examine your driving style. These rigs don't react well to braking that hard, no matter what the conditions...

Yes that happens, usually after lifting tag and making a sharp turn. After a few miles, and then power engine off/on the computer clears it. Nothing to worry about.

There are times when a tag is raised and lowered and the brakes applied that the ABS light will come on it's a fluke in the system. It is also very very important to have the ABS brakes adjusted properly. I had someone pull in front of me and I slammed on the brakes and one tag locked up for a second and there went a tire
