Chuck--tag axle

Chuck,

I'm not sure about that. Look at it this way. If you put more weight on the tag axle the drive axle will act as a fulcrum therefore putting more down load (weight) on the front axle. Your weight may be fine but I would check out that air pressure of 100 psi in the tag tires.
Sounds high to me but haveing said that, I'm not sure how much should be there as mentioned in my prior posts.

Interesting point; however, I'm not sure if I agree with your premise. As I view it, the rears and tags are too close together to cause much of a fulcrum since the lever arm is very short compared to the distance to the front wheels. Also, the 5 psi difference between the rears and tags is pretty insignificant. I don't see where "sharing the weight" a bit between the rears and Tags would have much of an affect.
Somewhere in one of the CC manuals and on the plate on the driver's side it states the pressure should be 120, 110, 120 (front, rear, tags). Although CC did not change the plate or the manual, there was an item in that box of stuff you get with the coach that refers to the 90, 95, 100 scheme. That is how the Smart Tire was programmed by CC. I think ride quality had something to do with this change.
I have no complaints with the way mine rides. The bottom line, if the tires are inflated in accordance with the TOYO chart, then any adjustments within that safety range could be made to change the ride quality, a personal preference.

This could be an interesting topic for one of the seminars.

Chuck,

In thinking about it a bit more I think you are correct on the fulcrum, too short a lever arm to have much affect on the front axle.
As my weights go each rear wheel (tax & drive) are somewhat close to the same weights; tag 4100, drive 3900. So you are right, tire pressure should be close to the same except that the chart always calls for more pressure for a given weight in dual application vs. single application. So the rear drive tires would likely be about 10 pounds more than the tag. Hell, I'm still confused.
