Colorado Over the Door Awning - Warning

I'll try to be brief, if your 12V Freedom awning hasen't quit yet, it will! Finally got it all apart and the motor was full of rusty water and froze up tight. The outer cover fills up with water and the motor is submerged. Colorado knows all about it and now puts a drain hole in the bottom of the outer cover. CC is also aware of the problem.

Take a drill and put a small hole in the bottom (it's just plastic) and watch the water run out. If your awning quits, the motor will have to be replaced. That is another nighmare all in it's own.
