Subject: Towing a Jeep Wrangler

Help me out guys. I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I towed it with my Allegro Bus and had no problems without a brake buddy system.
Do you guys think I need a supplemental brake system for an Affinity.
My new 2006 Affinity is due off the production line in about 2 to 3 weeks. Thanks for your help.

Todd, the Affinity has tremendous brakes. But in a "panic" situation, I want all the braking power possible. I have a 2001 Affinity and have never had a problem stopping the coach, even when some idiot drivers cut me off, etc. I use a BrakeBuddy in my 2001 Acura MDX

I tried a Brake Buddy system on a 2005 Affinity. It will not work on a 45 foot coach. I have even tried experimental antennas from brake buddy multiple times and I could never get the alert to trigger. I guess that the braking works fine but the alert simply will not. Brake Buddy themselves is now saying the there is a forty foot limit on their system.

RE: [Country-Coach-Owners] Digest Number 1535 The Brake Buddy alert system will not work on my 40' Intrigue. Fried 2 sets of brakes, rotors, etc. so far. Think I will leave mine in the garage.

Simple cure for brake buddy problems. Pick up the wire that is hot when your high mount brake light comes on when you apply the brakes on the toad. run that wire through you connector ( may need one with more connections ) to the coach. run that wire to the dash attach it to the positive lead on a bright red 12v. led from Radio shack. ground the other lead on led , now every time the brakes are applied on your toad the led will light. No more worries about BB working. Working on mine for 100,000 miles.
