Mirror heaters

I was looking through some of my documentation and for the Ramco mirrors, the drawing from Ramco shows a heater switch, which switches 12 volts to a black wire going to each mirror. But the CC documentation shows a black wire (#78) going from the ignition fuse box to the mirror heater circuit board. Does that mean the heaters are always on when the ignition is on? My SOB I owned previously had a switch, and it seems strange to me to not have one. Why heat the mirrors if it is not necessary? Or am I missing something?

Hi AL,

In your schematics you will find that your second statement is true - the heaters are always powered with ignition on and controlled by the internal thermostat.
